Thumbs up CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Season 7) - Cool, or what?!

Okay,

So how many of you watched the first two episodes (Born To Kill, parts 1 and 2), last night, of Season 7 of "CSI" last night on Five? And what did you think?

For me, it was awesome. Catherine's certainly being given a hard time, this series, isn't she?! And I wonder how Sara and Grissom are going to pan out?

Favourite bit - in part 2, Grissom and David (the Mortician guy, with the crutch) singing, while examining the body of Izzy, the dead musician! Absolutely hilarious!

Can't wait to see how the stories continue, throughout the rest of the eries!

I enjoyed it very much last night too, although I thought that the two cases in the first epeisode were slightly rushed even though one of them continued into the second episode.

Also is the murderer of Izzy who created the model going to be the main story arc this season?

Not sure if it'll be the "main" story-arc, but it'll be one that runs for another episode or two, I think. The main story-arc in Season 7, is a) to do with the personal problems Catherine Willows suffers from, after the events in Part 2 of "Born To Kill", and b) the personal problems that the rest of the CSI team encounter, and the toll it takes on each of them and how they react to and with one another! There's fireworks galore still to come, that's for certain, and the CSI production team have already said that the final few episodes are going to have the most jaw-dropping season conclusion of any CSI show ever, to date, and one that nobody will be able to see coming! Now, that's gonna be something to look forward too!

There was something so wrong, yet so amusing about that. Do you think that happens in real life post mortems?

Re: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Season 7) - Cool, or what?!

Pretty duff bodyguards Catherine's dad had. It's all well and good shooting the chap as he runs away, but weren't they supposed to stop it happening in the first place? And why didn't she go for her gun, that daft bat? Just plain sloppy I calls it.

Regards

Mark

It looked like a picture of a porcelain doll on the back of the photo to me.

Awesome episodes.

Loved the morgue scene with the singing and dancing. Doc Robbins is such a cool character.

The model room was so amazing and the detail was awesome. Cannot wait to see what happens as this season unfolds.

Re: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Season 7) - Cool, or what?!

Hi,

Okay, in order of original questions/coments:

MrGill- I know lots, because I'm the AV Forums "TV Guru"! In all seriousness, it's just that I like to keep abreast of what goes on, in my fave TV shows! "CSI" is no exception!

Mark A - The mean around Sam, weren't his personal "bodyguards", but Casino security staff walking Sam and Catherine out safely. As for why Catherine didn't go for her gun, it would immoral for an off-duty CSI agent to use a weapon on a case that is being investigated completely unofficially. Don't forget, that Catherine being druged and raped, is not an official investigation, as she has only told Sara and Grissom. These two are helping her out, unofficially. Hence, her shooting someone, for whatever reason, could potentially risk both her job, and the rest of the CSI team, as the Internal Affairs Bureau would come down hard on the whole CSI squad, and be asking a lot of questions!

Shady / PaleRider - This will be revealed over the next 2-3 episodes, I believe (having not seen them yet, until they air officially on Five in the UK)! I suspect that Grissom has spotted something in the photo, that Izzy's killer has overlooked, or taken for granted, and thus, could well be a hint as to who the killer really is!

Illeana - Yep, both fabulous episodes! I think Season 7 may well turn-out to be the best Season of any of the CSI shows, ever made!

But by then it had become an official case as Grissom and folks were in on it and were including it in the investigation.

Except that the results for semen had come back negative, strongly implying that she'd just been drugged and set-up to be look liked she'd been raped, as a warning to her da.

But with a chap openly waving a gun about on the streets no one would question even an off-duty cop defending herself and her loved ones, not to mention passing members of the public.

Mark
