I thought it was the best beginning so far in this excellent long running series.

HI All,

Don't panic folks!

E4 viewers got to see the start of all-new Season 13 ( ) last night at 10pm, and it was fab. Episodes are also then repeated the following Sunday evening on E4 at around 9 or 10pm.

Channel 4 viewers, however, can see the start of Season 13, from Monday 8th Jan at 10pm, and then every Monday night thereafter.

I saw it last night on E4, and the series is as fab as ever. However, my only complaint, is that "ER" has got a) a new, and very short title sequence, and b) they've got rid of the famous opening and closing theme music. The replacement titles and music is awful! So be warned!

Agree, I do miss the old tune. Nevermind. But also agree that it was a cracking opener. Almost forgot what happened at the end of S12. A very good start indeed.

That opening music is as synonymous as the Twentieth Century Fox music is to Star Wars

Wonder how long before there's an online petition to have the old credits put back

Don't forget, that just to really annoy us TV viewers, a load of great new shows have all just started on Friday evenings as well:

NCIS (Season 3 on Five) @ 9pm
Ugly Betty (Season 1 on C4) @ 9:30pm
Intelligence (Season 1 on Hallmark) @9pm
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Season 4 on Five) @ 10pm

You'd think that all the TV schedulers would get together and actually realise, that scheduling all the decent stuff on the same night, at the same time, only means that certain channels lose out on viewers. If they got together, and scheduled them on different nights, the ratings for each show might actually go up, and please the viewers as well! But I guess that's far too sensible a solution to things! Nah, much better to keep p***ing-off the viewers instead!

Not bothered about Nip/Tuck, I just you some Oil of Ulay on my dry skin!!!!

As for the last couple of series all of that stuff in Africa, was a waste of time!!

Quality season opener, it was such a great show.

I was hoping the short title sequence was just to save time because the episode was too long but it doesn't sound like it...

They've gone for a Lost like extremly short thing.

S13 is great. Been keeping up with the US. I got hooked when I saw a couple of episodes on CH4 of S12.
