Re: Torchwood double bill finale 2nite - heads up
the series has been very up and down in terms of quality but i have to say i found the last 2 episodes really enjoyable hopefully it bodes well for the possible 2nd series.
The thing that i was really really hoping for happened in the last few seconds of the episode!!
possible spoiler if you havent seen it yet: the doctor picked up jack!! it would have been nice to have glimpsed him stepping into the tardis though!

Re: Torchwood double bill finale 2nite - heads up
I thought the big Bad at the end was a bit of an anti-climax after the whole mysterious cravat man and what became of cravat man anyway. Also was the Bad supposed to be the same as the thing seen in Doctor Who series two of just another generic thing. Nice to see the team had not given up yelling at each other as usual instead of working together. Made the whole thing about as enjoyable as watching a domestic argument around a friends house.
Re the spoiler: it could have been the Doctor at the end, it could just as easily have been the Master, all we know is a Tardis was involved.

Re: Torchwood double bill finale 2nite - heads up
good point about the spoiler!
this is pure speculation but could possibly be another spoiler:maybe ties in with the master being 'mr saxon' rumours

Re: Torchwood double bill finale 2nite - heads up
further Torchwood/DW spoilerage ....
John Barrowman will return as Capt. Jack in the last three episodes of DW series three
Earlier Saxon references ... from the Love And Monsters episode – the Abzorbaloff was reading a newspaper headlined with 'Saxon leads polls' and there were posters reading 'Vote Saxon' – the commentary for Love And Monsters confirms that 'Saxon' is tied into the DW series three story arc about the mysterious 'Mr. Saxon'.
There are rumours flying about that Jack will himself be revealed as The Master

Yeah I enjoyed both of them although the "big bad" was very Buffy like and hands up who isn't bi and works for Torchwood!

Re: Torchwood double bill finale 2nite - heads up
you apparently find out what happened in the 2 missing years in the new doctor who series.
maybe he was able to manipulate the rift in the future to come back through to present day, he possibly thinks the doctor will come back to cardiff to 'refuel' the tardis from the rift like they did before and they will meet up again.
