You didn't miss much....usual 'gritty, working-calss, northern, over-acted drama'.

Full of Northern stereotypes.

Basically the leading woman were portrayed as humble, tarty, down-trodden etc.

My comment was tongue firmly in cheek, as I live in Stretford and it aint half as bad as it was made out to be.

But, hey it's only TV, portraying the 'real' Stretford would be like watching paint dry.

Usual drama by numbers rubbish, only good thing in it......Fay Ripley.........never liked her until I saw the interview she did with Jonathan Ross, when she described Cyprus as a sh*thole she won me over.

Nothing political, most people say they had a fantastic holiday whatever the reality, cockroaches, food poisoning, awful hotel, nothing to do/see........she was honest.
My in-laws went there last year.
