Re: DVD Wishes For 2007
Certainly agree with Twin Peaks Season 2, I'm a huge fan but upset they haven't released season 2 because of the rights dispute.

Re: DVD Wishes For 2007
Some of the following material is fictional....
I'd like Columbo Widescreen remastered movies. Crikey there are 55 episodes, never knew that.
Kill Bill the full movie.
Matrix 4
King Kong 16:9
Laurel And Hardy remade from digital images.
Spiderman 3
Hulk 2
Iron Man
Casino Royale
Randal And Hopkirk The Movie
Lost In Space 2

Re: TV DVD Wishes For 2007
Colditz - the original BBC TV series.
Why this excellent series has never been released on DVD when all other shows of the same vein (Tenko, Danger UXB, Secret Army etc etc) have been done remains a mystery.

Re: TV DVD Wishes For 2007
Hi,
West - Time Gentlemen, Please (Series 1) is already out on UK Region 2 DVD. I presume you also want the Christmas Specials and all of Series 2 released as well, to complete this very, very funny series?)
My requests would have to include:
Total Recall 2070 (on any region, but must be in 16:9 and the original uncut Cable broadcast versions, not the sanitised syndicate TV prints)
War Of The Worlds (Season 1 of the 1987/1988 US cable-TV show, but with extras, including info on what happened to all the cast of the show, preferably on Region 2)
The Tripods (the BBC's classic TV show from the mid-1980's, on any region)
Dick Spanner PI (Gerry Anderson puppet classic, made-up of just two 55-minute episodes, from around 1987)
The Amazing Cities Of Gold (Japanese anime, made in Europe, and with that superb main title theme tune that almost everone schoolkid of the mid-1980's will instantly recognise)
Star Fleet (aka X-Bomber - any release, even if the picture and audio aren't perfect, but I must have this on legitimate DVD NOW!!!!)
I'm sure there's loads more, but these will do for a start!

Possibly with some conclusion tacked on, perhaps animated like the recent Dr Who - The Invasion. Otherwise it would be quite disappointing, seeing as it was only the first two parts of the trilogy. A very cheap, wobbly set, low production value show as I recall, initially screened when Doctor Who was on a 1 year hiatus if I'm not mistaken. I don't believe The Tripods is generally regarded as a classic though ; especially as it was cancelled 2/3 of the way through.

Re: TV DVD Wishes For 2007
There was a good documentary about The Tripods on BBC4 last night. I remembered watching it when it was first aired, but couldn't really remember that much about it. After watching last night I don't think I'd be tempted by a DVD version though.
IIRC the programme was called BBC Cult or something like that, I'm sure it will be repeated.

Unfortunately, the only DVD available of TGP is not the entire first series. It only contains the first six episodes of series 1. It appears it was meant to be released in several parts, but there's been no sign of a second DVD since the first one several months ago. Wouldn't be surprised if no more were released. Perhaps it didn't sell well enough. Why on earth they didn't release it as a complete series boxset is beyond me. Brilliant series.
