Re: Casualty
I watched the 2nd half of it and it was really good. I'm not a regular watcher, nothing else was on so just watched it.
That lady is crazey! Why did she do it, is she mental or something? Sorry I missed the begining, what did she have against the guy she stabbed?

Re: Casualty
never usually watch that tripe (probably since, just like The Bill, it became a badly written, scripted and acted identikit soap)
- but just chanced upon it last night, and it was like I'd smoked some skunk or something, very trippy, atypical episode, reminiscent of ER with a guest director (but not the budget or acting ability)

Re: Casualty
There was more action in those two episodes (23rd and 24th) than I have seen in Casualty for quite some time - thought it was really good.
Merry Christmas,
Martin.

Re: Casualty
A stunning two-parter, brilliant direction, great sequences, very moving. Fantastic TV (something that I would not have expected to say about Casualty).

She was suffering from Munchausens by Proxy, the guy she stabbed (Josh, the paramedic) had some episodes earlier been called to her daughter but had refused to take her in, indicating that she was OK.

Re: Casualty
You missed an absolute beauty. I think Ellen’s death was a little rushed, and in the second episode we didn't see as much of the crazy woman, hence the episode wasn't as 'thrillerish' like the 1st episode. They could have easily made it a 3 episode parter. What do people think who watched it, do you agree??...

Idiotic woman who was trying to convince everyone that there was something wrong with her daughter - Josh knew there was nothing wrong - finally got her revenge on Josh in the back of a broken down ambulance - stabbed him in the neck and side - he almost died - only quick work by his colleagues saved his life.
The woman then tried to escape with her daughter - everyone was looking for her - Ellen saw her go out of a door, ran after her, through the door and was hit by a passing motorbike - thrown into the air, and then died on the treatment table - quite sad, really.
Hope that gives you an idea as to what you missed.
Cheers,
Martin.

Re: Casualty
I though it was rubbish
Social services not contacted over potential crazy woman harming a child (gross misconduct)
First Paramedic gets in lonely place with crazy woman (potential misconduct inviting sexual allergations)
Next nurse gets in lonely place with crazy woman threatening to harm a child (gross misconduct)
Do these people have no training, or can't the production team afford a medical consultant .......

It's TV, if it were straight fact and rules and regs it would be boring.
I didn't like the first episode, hated the rewinding bit just padded out the same stories, second part was better.
I've alaways liked Casualty, wipes the floor with the Bill.
