old 70's tv programs again.
we were having a debate about the name of a program we used to watch as kids and drew blanks.
.....set in a ye old spainish type civil war....badly dubbed and invovled, i'm sure some sort of castle seige,swords horses and general three musketeers type serrnaigans..
had a good themetune with ''you've got to fight'' something or other in the words.
...any idea folks?

The first one is probably

Belle and Sebastian

A young French boy and his white Pyrenean mountain dog called Belle and their adventures together in their village home. Band of same name is named after the show I believe

I remember many a playground 'reinactments' of Flashing Blade

Used to love the theme tune...

White Horses
The Singing Ringing Tree
Robinson Crusoe
Heidi (?)
and also (although these may have been later)
Whirlybirds
Champion The Wonder Horse

Anyone remember those dubbed ( eastern european possibly) versions of fairy tales?

There was a Cinderella one with magic acorns and I remember Cinders being well fit!

There was another one with some prince looking for the water of life in a white bottle and conning an evil king into mistaking the water of death for it.

Then there was a weird one about two warring countries : one of which had a secret weapon which was a shell fired fronm a massive cannon that froze entire cities killing the inhabitants but leaving the buildings standing (neutron bomb basically).

anyone remember a series called 'Silas' about a boy who runs away from a performing troupe, and his father - Philip the sword swallower. He was joined by a tall blonde haired lad with a lame leg, and a young girl, which i think they rescue from an old hag of a woman. This is all from memory.

Blimey I'd totally forgotten about that one, how long ago was that and can anyone remember the name? IIRC it seemed to be set in the late 19th early 20th century.
