Doomwatch - BBC4 - varying sound level

Thoroughly enjoyed Doomwatch. So far ahead with their storylines.

The one problem I had was very poor sound quality. I was watching via Freeview and will check the recording via cable later. In the meantime, did anyone else experience sound that varied from extremely low to middling?

Cool Re: Doomwatch - BBC4 - varying sound level

I saw the replays some years ago on UK Gold and found some of the quality was not up to scratch. Would like the get the whole series on DVD inc the un-shown episode.
The series was co devised by Kit Pedler .

Some of my favorite stories were the Plastic Eaters and the one where some explores got into a old research centre they should not have.

There is a part in the rats episode where there killing one with a pan and has been mocked on one TV snoppet show (probably one of Angus Detons).

The frying pan is brand new!

Doesn't everyone look slim!

I would love to see the whole series again. Wonder if they don't have a complete set!

Wasn't there one when Simon Oates' character acts completely bonkers because he has lead poinsoning?
