Im fed up of blatent lies like the constant "its a dead heat in the phone votes and we NEED your votes weather its Jungle Xfator BB or any other reality show and charge plenty for it . (American Idol for instance gets something like 20 million votes a show and all money goes to charity).

So some old lady is sitting at home voting 50p a time 10 times cause they really think every week is a dead heat.

Xfactor the whole Ray situation I dont know how that can be right when Simon said no to Ray THEN suddenly changed his mind and said "I gotta have Ray in the competion . Oh no its only 3 allowed to go through "I dont care well make it 4" thast surley a lie they mustve planned the show for 12 acts he didnt suddly change it from 9 to 12 the schedule wouldnt allow it.

Those money making competions every day on every side where the question is so unbelivably easy and charge a pound a call . I remember Richard Madley saying "we make it so easy to give everyone a chance"

well make all calls 5p then if your that caring.

I may be wrong on this but it just feels like were being made fools off. Rant over lol and i mean no offence to anyone just me views .

No-one forces anyone to pick up the phone and make the call. It's as simple as that.

Every time I see a "vote now, calls cost £300 per minute" message appear on the screen, I just think that TV channel is slowly selling themselves to death.

ITV are by far the worst, and they've apparantly been in talks to be sold/merged with NTL. So yeah, I'd call that selling themselves to death.


But I just don't watch rubbish where this kind of thing is likely to happen really though. It's all the same nonsense repeated time after time.

the big M bought almost 20% of ITV this week...heh....which pretty much blocks an NTL/ITV merger......

As said, no one forces you to pick up the phone and vote.......however it is like lambs to the slaughter, after being prepped by actors on screen a lot of people will indeed put their neck under the guillotine of call charges......

still, if it gives them a thrill, thats up to them......i dont get my thrills that way, instead i spend ridiculous amounts on AV gear which half my friends (a lot of which vote like lunatics on X-Factor) take the mickey out of me for....each to their own in the pursuit of happiness....heh

agreed and I never said they did . Im complaining about the lies.

There not neck and neck there is no dead heat right now, there not to close to separate at this moment.

Of course we dont have to watch either but you can say that about anything . As already said I do think they are selling themselves short and a certain respectabilty that was there with British programmes is slowley ebbing away.
