For those into it Monk popped up on BBC 2 Saturday - Season 4 I think.

He is an OCD version of Sherlock Holmes -and funny.

It started a month ago, without any warning, as usual.

Fortunately Pooch managed to warn us with only hours to go.

This is a show that gets better and better, and it started very good. The BBC seem to like it in as much as they buy the new seasons when available, however their scheduling of it is appalling, and I can't understand why it doesn't deserve a much better time and day. Hallmark give it much more respect, and keep repeating it (and I keep watching it!).

Yep, it is good. I even ordered the R1 box sets for the first three series and will get R4 soon.

Sorry I was late to the plate with the news - I only found it by accident.

beeb probably think its an oddball and hard to place it with a british audience, what tosh. the sherlock holmes format in good hands is a sure fire winner and Shaloub's Emmy a bit of a tell.

Maybe the beeb has some members of the Diogenes club in higher management.. :-)

Caught some of the episode on yesterday afternoon - good fun!

The plot of Monk with amnesia and being told by his adoptive 'wife' that he loved all the things he actually could not bear, was hilarious.

e.g. "We have a cat?", "You are a roofer....you love roofing", etc

All good clean fun and a nice counterpoint to most of the more 'in your face' cop shows.
