Re: Lost season 3 UK

Any ideas if this will be shown without breaks (i.e. week-after-week)?

I heard that there will be long break in the US schedule?

Well I believe Sky has alot more money than Ch4, so ya'know it was unlucky for them. But yes I agree, they should have tried harder to keep it, hell they should have robbed the bank :P

Re: Lost season 3 UK

agreed lol, plus the timescale they were giving it to us on was a bit rubbish! thats prob why ratings dropped as people were gagging to see next series and wait was too long!

this program only still makes a lil scense but i lurrrrve it!

Re: Lost season 3 UK

See below...

Quote:
LOST- STARTS 19 NOVEMBER 10PM SKY ONE

The new series of the massively popular, award-winning series LOST debuts this November on Sky One. Series 3 of television’s most extraordinary drama continues the harrowing adventures of the surviving group of friends, enemies, lovers, and strangers who were thrown together on a mysterious island following the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 – a place where even the most cursory glance beneath the surface reveals vast conspiracies and untold depth.

During the last series, a more extensive network of underground hatches was revealed, key characters tragically lost their lives, the elaborate back-story of the Dharma Initiative and the Hanso Foundation started to come into focus, and – perhaps most significantly – it became clear that on this island, even the heroes can harbour the darkest of secrets.

Now, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are being held captive by the ever-mysterious ‘others,’ and the fate of Locke, Desmond, and Mr. Eko remains unclear after the seemingly cataclysmic magnetic incident in the original Hatch. The survival stakes have been raised to a crisis point. The survivors are going to have to band together like never before. Will they ever solve the mystery of their fate in this epic war of faith and science? Of course, on LOST, for every answer there are countless new questions.

And just in case there is anything more important than the start of Lost (as if), Sky One will have mutlistart options. This means that viewers can press the red button for an additional eight start times which will be at 15-minute intervals between 22:15 and midnight. Lost will be available in HD TV and watch out for exclusive cast interviews with Iain Lee.

hopefully not, i mean due to the delay in starting the series it could be a good time for sky to catch up using that break to make the uk fans feel less 2nd best!

Hopefully it would be straight through - but surely US viewers wouldn't be too happy about that!

Yes, just a shorter break.

There will be a gap between the first part of the season and the second with the UK screening from ep7 onwards a week(?) behind the US screenings and in an expected double bill with the new season of "24" which will also run much closer to the US screenings.

Re: Lost season 3 UK

As I posted last week :-

After the initial first six episodes of the third series, the series takes a break and begins again after Christmas, with Sky One aiming to show each of the remaining 16 episodes just days after it airs first in the US.

Lost Scheduling

·Sky One and Sky Two
·Starts 19th November 2006

·Core Episodes: Sky One, Sundays 2200–2300 (opening night 2200-2400)

·NB – Opening night is likely to see a red button multi start (TBC)
·22 episodes
·Plus peak time repeats on Sky One and Sky Two in the following slots

Sky One Tuesdays 2200 - 2300
Sky Two Wednesdays 2200 - 2300
Sky Two Sunday 2000 - 2100

·Plus one hour special on Sky One and Sky Three “Lost: A Tale of Survival”

·NB: Lost Series-3 breaks on 17th December 06 and resumes again on 11th February 07. This is due to US ABC Network current scheduling commitment."

There has to be a break so that the UK doesnt overtake the USA during their long Christmas/Thanksgiving/Purely random/annoying midseason break

my sky + has had it set for a few weeks now. Didn't know pressing the green button to set a reminder could be done before 1week. The EPG is only 1week so when i accidently removed 1 of the reminders i had to wait for ages for another ad to come on.

A few hours left before the double episode. Can't get over there being a season 4... I wonder when they are going to give us the ending?

They wont - it will get cancelled after 10 series of them going absolutly nowhere and they will all get eaten by the polar bear then Hurley will wake up and it will all be a dream brought on by eating to much fried chicken.

Just finished watching the first six episodes a couple of days ago and can safely say I'm not disappointed. Very enjoyable imo.

Shame I have got to wait months for episode seven!

Re: Lost season 3 UK

OK, sorry for this muppet question
I watched a few of the first series and just watched the recording made for a friend. Could someone tell me what the Others thing is? I don't want to watch the previous series or probably this one, just a little curious as to what has happened. Again, sorry, just a little curious.
