Exclamation The Lone Gunmen - an update!

Hi Folks,

Two notes for you: "The Lone Gunmen" gets its UK TV premiere on the Sci-Fi Channel, as of Monday 1st July at 9pm, with a repeat sometime next weekend.

However, having questioned why the "Pilot" episode is not being aired, Sci-Fi have issued the following announcement:-

"The Distributors have decided to NEVER allow the first episode of this series to be aired again, on television."

Presumably, this means not just in the US or UK, but anywhere in the world? However, I wonder what will happen with regards to any future (?) potential video ro DVD release?

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know this.

Do we class this as a win for the terrorists? Or just being correctly sensitive this time?

Cool

No. It is about the 3 guys from The X Files (who sometimes help Fox Mulder out). The Lone Gunmen is their name, it refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, NOT, a bit like calling the big tall guy in Robin Hood, Little John.
The very first episode was about a plane being flown/attempted? into the Twin Towers? This was made before the real life incident.

It's a shame about the pilot ep. cause it's a really good starter - bit novel for a pilot to work well. Garrett, I'd have to say it's one for the terrorists to not show it, as you note the disaster is averted in the pilot and moreover I think it serves as both a lest we forget but also a way of thinking beyond merely burying heads in the sand repressively. Just my opinion.

After watching it last night, I can see why The Lone Gunmen was cancelled.
The opening 5 minutes in the pretend Jap house was funny though.

It was very poor. I doubt I'll be taking the time to watch any more of them either.

As the crash was averted I have to agree. If they alter our way of life to the detriment they win.
Bury the dead, but remember them, not remove them from existence.

As I was watching Lenny Blue I did not watch it all but the episode that was cancel looked good.

Dunno about the rest of you, but I reckon once the inevitible Hollywood blockbuster depicting the "true" events of September 11th is made, anything becomes fair game for being screened, either in cinemas or tv.

Cool

I missed the beginning of tonight episode but isn’t that the voice of Edward Woodward on the computer?
As to the missing opening episode. They missed the plane crash in the first episode of Millennium because of the Twin Tower crash. Last week they showed it.

The character ‘Yves Adele Harlow’ is suppose to be an anagram of a conspiracy does any one know what it is?

Lea Hervey Aswold, maybe? I really don't know.

Try running it through one of the online anagram programs, maybe that'll throw up a clue or two (one in a book depository and the other on a grassy knoll).

Garrett,

Yves' monicker is an anagram indeed of Lee Harvey Oswald. In fact, this is mentioned several times in either episode two or three.
