F1 - season pass now available

F1 Digital + (Bernievision),
If anyone is interested, instead of £12 per race week-end, you can now book the Season Pass for remaining races at £50.

Hopefully a season pass for '03 could be £100. Though I suspect the offer you mention (thanks, by the way) is to tempt people who feel the '02 season is already 'over'.

thanks to ferrari and schumacher, I think F1 itself is already over.

Irony of the sport is that the great technology, skilled drivers and big spectacle has made it the most boring thing on tv.

I used to love it, as recently as a couple of years back when heinikken was still in the running.

Now, it is up there with basketball as the most unexciting sports events on TV. with the possible exception of the first lap.

Is the F1 coverage on Sky any good? I have cable at the moment but am moving house and getting Sky next week. I like Martin Brundle on ITV, but the other guy that has come in to replace Murrey Walker is crap.

How does the Sky coverage compare? Other than the lack of Adverts that is.

The BEST was James Hunt.

Wattie's good too.

I'd like to see Simon Taylor & Derek Bell get involved too.

James Allen's not, I think, got enough presence. Don't like his 'style'.

I didn't say Murray was great, but he was at least entertaining. James Allen is just dull. Brundle is good, and I used to like Hunt.

Whats the quality of the commentary like on Sky, anyone?

Dont forget John Watson, a former F1 driver who used to commentate for Eurosport, I thought he was very good, better then Martin Brundle IMHO.

Confucius,
The £50 Does include this week-end, if anyone has ordered already, ring Sky, they will cancel your order, and then you can order the season pass by phone with a credit/debit card.
Providing this is done before the race you will not be charged £12 for this week-end.
James Allen ain't so bad.

That may well be true, I'm only conveying what I was told this afternoon by $ky customer services that the £50 did not include this weekend.

totally agree - does anyone really think sky have offered this for the good of us subscribers - my guess is that the viewer orders had already started to drop off at least a couple of races ago.

The subscription idea is something i emailed to them before the start of the season. I'm not saying they listened to me (as if!!), or anyone else for that matter, but i'm sure they would have made more money with a suggested full season sub in the first place.

Deansimm,
This year's championship may be a almost certainty for Schuey and the red cars but I still watch all the races every year even if the title is wrapped up mid-season. I have paid for Bernievision since Race 1 and had it in mind to pay for all the others too.
The season ticket has saved me a bit, but if there is a good take up, next year should see it offered from the start, hope so anyway...
I watch it on ITV as well, whizzing through the ads, sad I know, but I just like watching the cars going 'round. (bikes too).
