Nothing is sacred anymore.
Lets hope they do the original justice in the forthcoming dvd release

Think ourselves lucky.

When a remake was first mooted they discussed using the new VW beetle as a Mini substitute.

The new "Mini" is bad enough... it's massive compared to a REAL mini... why don't they just use Ford Fiestas and be done with it!

If nothing else the size of the new Mini shows the Germans have a sense of irony.

Fine car though.

In any case people are getting bigger. That and increased safety requirements (wrt structure), mean something as small as the original is pretty much unfeasable these days.

Never was a huge fan of the original anyway to be honest.

Hmmm... don't want to turn it into a thread about cars but have you seen the inside of one? all that plastic.. the controls look like they've been made up of cereal packet gifts

More interested in the dynamics than packaging. I do like the insides anyway though.
