Hi all
I am really interested in buying the full sopranos series (1-5) and was wondering if somebody could give me some advice as to the best dvd version there is available i.e. region 1 or 2, 6 disc set or 4 disc set?
Also any pointers to the best price, i've had a look on play.com and they seem extortionate, so any links would be most helpful.

with season 1, the Aus R4/R2 version is fullframe (pan & scan), whereas the UK R2 4-disc version is anamorphic widescreen (the original 6-disc UK R2 release was also fullframe, so avoid this if you come across it, although its been deleted)

The CD-WOW page for it is wrong then , they have it as 1.78:1.

Here was me thinking that tv boxsets were immune from re-releases, I thought the only re-releases were the same discs in different packaging and a lower rrp ala Star Trek: TNG, Buffy etc but now I see that the Soprano reissues have commentaries and stuff not on the initial release, plus one of the 24 sets was re-issues with a preview for the next day. Are there any more like this?.

Not that it affects me in this case as I don't own any Soprano's but I can't really see double dipping becoming commonplace with tv shows as only the 'hard core' fanatics would consider spending another £15 - £30 for some more extras.

The UK reissue was to correct the earlier mistake of the crappy non-anamorphic pan and scan release
