captain scarlet running order?

I notice that CITV are running Captain Scarlet in an apparently random order. Again.

Sigh.

Does anyone know if there is a supposedly 'correct' order, e.g. maybe one defined by Mr. Anderson?

Re: captain scarlet running order?

Found this list on a fansite, which has a guide for each episode. And with the apparent care of the site, i'd bet it is the correct order

1. Instrument Of Destruction - Part 1
2. Instrument Of Destruction - Part 2
3. Rain Of Terror
4. Mercury Falling
5. The Homecoming
6. Chiller
7. Rat Trap
8. Swarm
9. Circles Of Doom
10. Trap For A Rhino
11. The Achilles Messenger
12. Skin Deep
13. Heist

*edit* - just noticed this "Episodes listed in production order with production number in brackets"

Obviously a dastardly Mysteron plot!

good theory, but as far as I can tell the fan ran out of enthusiasm at episode 13.

I've found all the production numbers at http://www.tv.com/captain-scarlet/sh...ag=nav_bar;all

The question still remains - is the production order the ideal viewing order?

Re: captain scarlet running order?

Well, all i can say is that my first viewing of the entire series was via the R2 DVD boxset, and everything seemed to flow smoothly, with no back story discrepancies. So i would personally go with that, orr start searching for Mr Anderson's email address

Re: captain scarlet running order?

Right, just checked with my mate (the boxset is his), and the running order is different to that listed above (so much for the fansite)

1. Instrument of Destruction, Part One
2. Instrument of Destruction, Part Two
3. Swarm
4. Rat Trap
5. The Homecoming
6. Mercury Falling
7. Circles Of Doom
8. Rain of Terror
9. Skin Deep
10. Chiller
11. Trap For A Rhino
12. Heist
13. The Achilles Messenger

Also checked on IMDb

sorry for the misdirection.

Re: captain scarlet running order?

That's the same order shown at www.tv.com - i.e. by original transmission date, probably as part of the Ministry of Madness on ITV - and so we can almost certainly assume it is the "wrong" order, since everything else they did with the show was ... utter madness.

Sigh again. Thanks anyway.

Was there ever a second series of this?

Re: captain scarlet running order?

2nd series - that must be episodes 14-26.

CITV have been showing all 26 (Sat 1730), and I thought they were just about to finish on Sat 26th Aug but then they showed Heist (ep 12 ish) again when I was expecting "Grey Skulls". They have already showed Dominion, which should have been the last ( I think )

They may be showing them again, or some of them again, or whatever.
Do they have a plan, or does some geezer turn up on a saturday and fling in a random disk?
