Alan Partridge
Does anyone know when or if Mr 'Sports Casual' is making a 3rd series? Saw 'I'm Alan Partridge' again last night and IMHO it is the best comedy ever. It'll be a crime if only 12 episodes are ever made.

I sure did. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. I was trying to think of my favourite episode but they're all too good!

Was the series ever released on DVD? I know it was due to be released and I was looking forward to it but for some reason it was shelved.

It was released on DVD, but withdrawn about a week afterwards. There are a few thousand copies out there and you might get lucky if you look on ebay. Doubtless they'll release it properly soon though, probably with more extras than the original.

i paid 20 for it in woolies and nearly took it back cause the picture quality is ****e, much like the blackadder dvds. glad i didn't now it's better than nothing but i'm sure it will see a rerelease sometime soon.

Couldn't agree more - here's abit of the script:
Alan: ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn’t it? You wake up in the morning, you’ve got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you’ve got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think “Sunday, bloody Sunday!”.
Irish Guy 1: I really hate to do this to you, Alan, but it’s actually a song about –
Irish Guy 2: Yeah, Bloody Sunday is actually about a massacre in Derry in 1972.
Alan: A massacre? Ugh. I’m not playing that again.
