Can anyone update me on smallville plot from season 4?

Hi i watched smalllvilel season 1,2,3 butgot tired of the ongoing are they/arent they plot line of clark and lana. It was just too tenn show for me.

However witht the film coming out i guess im rekindled. I have the chance to watch season 5 now but i have missed season 4 (i think) could anyone update me what happened generally in terms of overall story arc in season 4?

the last episode i saw was (highlight below to read)
everybody dying, lex on a planecrashing, lex dad going to jail and having his head shaved. I presume this was the end of season three but i may be emalgamating a few episodes as its been ages? what happens from then to season 4 end. so i am uptodate

Lex running Luthorcorp and kissing Lana.
Jonathan Kent dead. Martha is a Senator.
Lionel Luthor offering help to Martha. Lionel knows Clark's secret powers. Martha knows Lex knows; so does Clark. Lionel's not doing anything sinister that we can tell but of course none of us trust him.
Clark has ended it with Lana. (Or was it vice versa?)
Chloe knows Clark's secret and Clark knows she knows. She's being his best friend.
And then there's Lois. Not sure why, but there she is.

Err........think that about sums it up.

That's Season 5 I think you'll find. He's got those episodes to see.

yeah i have seen 1,2,3 am missing out 4 (an d want a quick what happened) so i can jump straight into 5
