Very low bitrates from TW recently

I dont know if it started when i got my TVDrive last tuesday but the last few days the picture quality seems rubbish. even the teleport programs.
Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this?

Mine is fine at Newcastle. Try turning off the STB then powering it back on, if that doesnt cure it place a call to telewest.

If rebooting doesn't help try re-entering your TV setup details, eg HDMI, or RGB etc. I had funny dancing pixels, and this cured it for me.

thanks, ill give it a try tonight.
I would say that the picture was watchable and it was only me that noticed the lower than normal bit rate (GF cant see anything wrong with it )
might give TW a ring as well

I have had mine revert to composite after resetting, rather than rgb.

I don't know if it's bit rate or over-compression, but on some channels (Sky One) the PQ is awful. I see big MPEG blocks, and a lot of dithering too. BBC, ITV and Channel four are much better.

I know that the picture is being upscaled as my TV is hi-def, but sometimes the PQ looks shocking - it looks like really poor MPEG encoding.

I just reset my TV Drive & it came up with a picture like it had really low bitrates. I have mine setup to my CRT when not using my projector, so with it connected via rgb scart I entered HDMI setting. Because my pj wasn't on it reverted back to rgb after entering. This cured the problem, basically resetting tv input.

Just happened again after putting it into standby & then turning on. It went by returning it to standby a couple of times.
