I am casually watching this on tv at the moment but i am dissappointed in channel 5 for showing the cut version.The last time it was on the tv was around 6 months ago on a different channel and it was the cut version that was shown then also.Ok,i have the DVD but thats not the point - surely its not to much to ask to expect to see the original cinema version of a movie on tv after 9pm.

Yes.There are possibly more but i definitely know of 2 cuts - 1.just after they have been attacked by the wolf and David looks across at Jack's body,and 2.the severed policemans head(as you said).
What i cant understand is why cut these scenes out when there were other equally as gory scenes left in.
The best solution would be to show films in their original state as long as they are on after the so called watershed,although i would make this 10pm instead of 9.

i seem to remember 2 other bits missing

1. someone getting their throat slit in one of Jacks dream sequences (family wishing they hadnt answered the door)

2. In the porn theatre at the end, the policeman walking up the steps with his torch, infront of the film playing (quite hilarious)
