Super Saturday Show at the Odeon

Hands up if your old enough to remember the Super Saturday show at your local Odeon.
I have fond memorie's from the early seventy's, the 10 to 1 countdown for the Zoom lollies, and not forgetting Fab lollies obviously a connection with ThunderBirds, and Arrow Bars,
Heres some shows I remember.

The Famous Five
Flash Gordon
That guy who put 2 rings together and then he could fly (sha zan i think)

They also showed a Movie, a common one being the Fantastic Voyage (strange choice for a kids film)

Can anyone remember any more shows from thier Saturday mornings at the Odeon?

Did not see it but do you mean Captain Marvel, he changed in to him from Billy Batson by saying Shazam (meaning Samson, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, etc.)
Did you have to sing that song "we come along on Saturday morning etc."
Saw:
Rocket Men From Mars (same guy as the King Of The Rocket Men shown recently on TV)
Undersea Kingdom (robots as on B&W holo deck program in Voyager)
Batman
and some others I forget the name of, also may Zorro but I saw this on TV fairly recently. I did and still do like them.
Can any one remember the one called something like the Circle of Rings? The very first cliff hanger had one of the heroes trapped in a tunnel on a motorbike with both ends closed and water pouring in.

I cant say as I remember the circle of rings either, but I do remember singing the song
What do kids have now? Maybe the Odeon should bring it back, then again whats the point with all the kids channels on Sky.

As a child watching the super saturday show I remember seeing a sci-fi film where the Astronauts were wearing differant coloured space suits, i can remember them walking under a collapsed surface of a planet, thats about it, but this film has bugged me for a couple of decades, for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called.

Any ideas Garrett?

Does anybody know of a site for those old B & W series or a book? I think the majority were Republic.

First men in the moon, definetly not! I will pop over to IMDB fo a read.

Maybe it wasn't a collapsed surface, the Astronauts may have fell through a brittle surface of the planet, I remember them walking under the surface, but they could look up at the other Astonauts through the cracks. off to IMDB now.

Cheers

flash gordon was the main one for me.
also, if it was your birthday you were called to the front to get an icecream, excellent.

also, does anyone remember a joke serial based on a french/swiss/german version of robin hood or similar, where chaps rode around on horses, chasing each other. The funny bit was they were dubbed over in english, with funny lines-about their tights, running away, smelling etc.?
I'm sure I am so on my own here...
