Use to be a real F1 fan up untill a few years ago, where's all the close racing gone, spoilt through money i think.

Restrict all cars to the same BHP and no driver aids, then we will see who is the worlds best racing driver.

I feel F1 has gone all pear shaped, which is a shame

agree with you Bob, something needs to be changed to bring it back to how it used to be - even the commentators agree that most of the overtaking is now done in the pit-lane - what kind of entertainment is that??

Totally agree, F1 has become very boring. I did used to watch it but now I only watch the start and then turn it off because I know the rest of the race is going to be so boring.

I also think that something needs to be done so there is more overtaking on the race track, and not all this overtaking in the pits, but at the moment F1 viewing rating worldwide are still going up so they are not going to change anything because they are making more money than ever.

Bring back Mansell, the last decent racer who wasn't scared to have ago.
Remember Monaco when he had a loose wheel when leading, he pitted letting Senna take the lead, he then spent the last several laps all over Sennas rear wing but coudn't get past, now that was entertaining.

What we need is Montoya to team mate Schui with no team orders

I went to Spa in 91, I was stuck right in the middle of thousands of Ferrari fans, the atmosphere was sizzling a day I will never forget.
OH, Ferrari didn't win, it was Senne in a Mclaren

The two best racing incidents i rember, both involving Red 5 was one, where he was 25 seconds behind Nelson Piquet with 27 laps to go, he was about a second faster and with each lap was getting closer and closer, until the final two laps where they were al over ech other even though they were team mates, Frank Williams always a man that likes a scrap, Mansell eventually got past, great end to a race.

The other moment that i think is my favorite is Mansell and Senna heading to wards a corner at 200mph, neither one prepared to give, there is a classic shot, low down from the corner as they approach, their wheels are only a foot or two apart, a proper balls out moment of racing,

Yes, I remember that one, a classic move. Another red 5 momant was when Mansell was flat out down a straight, I think it was Australia, and his Tyre blew, my Heart missed at beat at that point.

Mansell is my favourite

My dad used to work at a garage where Nigel Mansell was a personal friend of the owner, Mansell raced for him very early in his career.

When the garage was rebuilt NM carried out the reopening

Yeah he lost the championship that year cos of that blowout, the following year he had a massive crash in Japan, lost the championship because of that too.

A couple of things I would like to see.
Sir Nigel Mansell, he deserves it.
Why not name an exciting part of Silverstone track - Mansell.
When I think back over the last 30 years of watching F1, the best bits usually involved Mansell or Senna.
As for paying the £12, I have to say, yes it was a dull race, but compared to watching the ITV coverage, it was a bit more involving. Choosing the Felipe Massa battling Jarno Trulli, in car, and the other bits and pieces from the pits etc. Yes, not my best £12 spent.
I paid for the live ITV Digital coverage of the British Superbikes, now that was worth the money.
