Green Wing 2nd Series 1st Episode

class, sheer class, this is what British comedy can do at its best

just as good as series 1....i so hope it stays that way, big for the scripters, directors and definitely the actors

Its so 'out there' and 'off the wall' its mad - my kinda comedy!!

Definately the funniest british show i've seen in a long time!

Thinking i must go and get the first series on dvd now...

that guy is so class, i love the way he plays off against his young apprentice too.....hilarious

this second season is definitely every bit as good as the first........its not an easy thing to do, bring off the wall sketch show and plot driven drama together, but they've managed it perfectly.......i just hope they go as far as they can at this standard then stop, would hate to see it go lame and still be made like Red Dwarf......

i defintely recommend u get the 1st series on DVD btw (not u John, the guy posting above me) if only to give you some back history on what you are watching....heh

Its a shame i wasn't aware of little gem being on TV till i accidently happened to catch the first episode of the second series and thought this is one of the funniest 'off the wall' programmes i've ever seen.

Now i'm hooked and want more and if the first series is like the second then i'm in for a treat!

Also only found out last night when a mate told me but, apparently C4 were repeating the whole first series to coincide with the new series recently - and i missed it

Series 1 DVD it is then...

The box set is worth it for the commentaries alone

i've been in two minds as to whether i'll buy the 1st series on DVD or not as i saw it first time around on TV and its not something i'll watch many times like Red Dwarf, it has a somewhat unique nature and i think watched more than a couple times (per episode i mean) wouldnt make it so enjoyable....

however, i forgot about commentaries....DEFFO getting it now...heh

i love this show, it just rules.....be a while before something beats it i reckon....if you like it, i guess it could be a love or hate type show.....

Top show. Made even better by the fact they have kept the hour long format - half an hour would just not be enough of a fix each week

if they went to half hour i would be clawing at my sky box to release another half hour soon as the credits rolled!...lol

i must say tho, the person in charge of the music deserves massive recognition for this work, because quite frankly as good as a lot of the scenes are, they owe a lot to the music to give them their timing and place in the shows chronology.....

hats off to them :-)

haha, i'd literally just finished a plate of something tomato based i think plus a load of wine and almost chucked too

that guy is just too good at his job, making you believe!

looking forward to tonights episode with mucho gusto......mums off to the chish'n'fip shop atm, bottle of sancerre chilling in the fridge.......normally like to eat while i watch the show, but after last week i'm gonna make sure there is a good hours gap between food and Green Wing.....lol....

passing the time listening the gnarls barkley album, St Elsewhere.....not bad at all.....its obviously trying to do a Gorillaz and do known genres with a twist.....possibly not quite as well tho.....worth the money however :-)

well, overall a slightly weaker episode on the comedy front, but i think that they were trying to set up new angles on story and figured better to put them in to one episode than dilute 2 episodes with half each....i reckon next episode will be back to normal craziness

however.....the voice coaching session.....omg...hahaha
......i had to pause it because i was laughing too loud to hear past the first half of it.....then paused again after hearing the second half cuz my eyes had teared up......oh damn that man....

tonight episode was just the best so far........honestly couldnt pick a favourite moment in this one, it all just cracked me up.....these guys definitely deserve an award, especially the bloke who plays Statham...

i get the feeling tho they will tie it up this series, the way its gone tonight, i reckon they'll call it quits at two series, which altho is a shame in the sense its so good and will be sorely missed, i think if it ran longer it would end up becoming too usual...if you get my drift...

but cant wait for next week, definitely :-)
