With programs like that from the Beeb, who could possibly grudge the licence fee?

Cheers,

Martin.

Yeah man,

How cool was that, base jumping into those caves and disappearing in the blackness. That was awesome. Great show.

I've been dving before but there's no way you'd catch me diving in those caves squeezing through those tight spaces.

yeah, been watching this too and has made me happy to pay my licence fee (at least for now anyway! )

Last nights episode was top notch, the base jumpers.... what crazy people! First thing i said when i started watching it was 'Whoah!'

I'm also a diver and would get way too claustrophic in those caves. Thought the 'Planet Earth: Diaries' at the end is also good, makes you really appreciate the amount of effort that goes in to this programme! (like living in a gigantoc pile of **** for a month!

Were those base-jumpers for real?

I'm cynical enough to suspect a CGI effect.

They're real, and i think i read somewhere that those caves have a nasty habit of killing people who get the jump wrong.

Think I'll enjoy them from the safety of my armchair then.

The reason I thought it might be a CGI was because, as one of the highlights of the episode, I'm surprised it wasn't featured in the "Planet Earth Diaries" at the end.

Anyway, another cracking programme (and no spiders, thank goodness!).

Planet Earth is being broadcast in HD as a trial from the BBC.

Have notice a big difference in picture quality when watching through Sky but this is not HD.

Does anybody know if you can receive this through the aerial into an integrated set top box? Or do you need another piece of kit??? Seems a bit pointless to be trialing something only to have to buy new kit to watch it.

Maybe I've answered the question myself???
