Query about old American TV show

Wonder if anyone can help me...

I am looking for the name of a TV show that ran in the early eighties (I think) which was based on some ordinary guy finding a superhero suit and instruction manual. He manages to lose the instruction manual and then comedy ensues when he tries to be a hero with unexpected consequences.

I realise this is a long shot but if anyone will know I'm sure it's someone in here.

Thanks in advance

Cool

Or look at my post on the program here

There is 3rd box set out now but I believe they put some stupid battery thing in the cover of the box so there was some worries about it eventually leaking.

Oh he did not find the suit he was given it by aliens and he lost the instruction book as soon as he got both.

I remember it, but didn't watch it much as Robert Culp was in it. He seemed to be in *everything* during the 1980s!!!!

I loved that programme, Saturday morning ITV?

I think I remember the end song being Elton john's 'Rocket man'.

The theme tune was sung by Joey Scarbury, music by Mike Post and the end titles were an instrumental version of it but they used Rocket Man sometimes when he was fighting.

As to Saturday Morning it was on that day for me as well at 11am but they messed it up and aired it in different regions not only at different times but something like 1 year before others. I know a mate who lived in an other TV region and he managed to tape 2 for me. As we had not got it at that time.
