Dr Who series 2 dvd release.

Just been over to amazon.co.uk and saw that the new series of Dr Who with david tennant will be out in may on DVD. This must mean thatit will air on the bbc some time in april as it looks like it will have around three eps on the first disc.

Full info here.

I think this will be like last year with about five vanilla releases, then a full series boxset with much more content, released close to Christmas

I got last year's boxset for £30 from CD WOW (special price for a few days); will be happy with recordings/downloads of series 2 until boxset 2 is released.

I believe this series 2 volume 1 vanilla DVD will have The Christmas Invasion, and perhaps the Children In Need short on it too.
(EDIT: just saw the cover pic - so yep TCI's on it )

HI,

The BBC have already confirmed that the Series 2 "Dr Who" DVD's will be released as a set of 5 "vanilla" discs, before releasing a complete Series 2 boxed set, towards November 2006, which will include lots of lovely extras and bonus material, not on the other releases!

I just hope that this time it gets put in a sensible box set that doesnt ake up more shelve space than it needs, and doesnt fall apart or have the discs rattling around losse inside the thing
