I thought the 'findings' in this programme were over-hyped to the extreme.
Staff calling themselves 'account consultants' and not mentioning sales when ringing with 'service' calls was hardly a blinding revelation for working under cover for so long. And as for the part where our intrepid reporter 'revealed' that members of staff can look at customers' accounts ......

that's why they sign a confidentiality agreement prior to commencing employment - which she conveniently forgot to mention.
The previous poster mentions about someone going overdrawn and having their charges refunded if they have thousands on deposit is business. It's like giving you a free DVD when the 100th one you have bought is faulty ..... keeping your custom.
The worrying thing about the programme was the opening of fraudlent bank accounts. I think that Barclays were unfairly treated as this is criminal activity and certainly nothing to do with their negligence.
Criminals are present in all walks of life and to give Barclays such a torrid time, I felt, was a tad unfair.
