Yep, it's official! A UK Region 2 DVD release of Season 3 of "NYPD Blue" has been announced by Twentieth Century Fox, and has a release date of Monday 17th April 2006!

The six-disc boxed set will be released with a RRP of £44-99, but should retail around the £39-99 mark, or about £34-99 online. There will be a few extras, mainly behind-the-scenes featurettes, some cast and crew interviews, and potentially even an audio commentary or two as well!

The picture will be the original 4:3 aspect ratio, with Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround Sound, in English language, and with English subtitles for Deaf and/or Hard Of Hearing audiences.

Also, Fox will release the boxed set to be similar in-tone to the first two seasons sets, with regards to the packaging and artwork (e.g. three double-disc amaray cases, housed in a photographic cardboard sleeve!

Let's hope that Seasons 4-12 will also get released here in the UK! It may be wise for anyone who hasn't bought Seasons 1 and 2 yet, to try and get hold of them now, whilst they're still cheap. Some "Music Zone" (formerly MVC) stores currently have them available for £19-99 each or £24-99. Most online stores are charging £24-99 and upwards!

Also Pooch, do you know where the region 1 season 4 starsky and hutch is? I dont wanna buy the r2 version.

Seasoon 4 of "Starsky..." hasn't yert been released in the USA, hence no release date. Sorry.
