Spike Milligan has died.

Spike Milligan has died today age 83.
It seems we are having a truely bad year one of our greatest actors dies, now one of out greatest comedians, Spike was a truly funny man, whether in a comedy show such as the Goons or in the brilliant Q, and he always cracked me up if giving an interview, or on a talk show in fact if he was on a talk show it would be the highlight of the evening.
I will truly miss you Spike.

What’ll we do, What’ll we do.

A truly funny man, his performance (for want of a better word) on the comedy awards a few years ago was exceptional, he had the place cracking up.

"Im warking backward to Cristmas across the Irish sea. Im warking backwards to Cristmas its the only thing for me. I've tryed warking sideways and warking to the front, But people just stand and stare and say its a publicity stunt. Im warking backwards to Cristmas to say that we'll miss you."

from Sir Spike Milligan.

I changed the end bit.

Cool

One of the lines I always remember of Spikes, was Spike as Eccles and I think it was Harry Seacombe as Neddy Seagoon, or Bluebottle. They were crossing the desert:
Eccles "how many miles to the next town"
Neddy "13",
Eccles " oooh that’s un-lucky"
Neddy "OK 14"
Eccles " I told you it was un- lucky now were another mile away"

He is on Heroes of Comedy tonight.
