"Get Me The Spaceman"??

The above line by Thade in Planet of The Apes appears on the TV commercial but doesn't in the film (both Theatrical and DVD R2 release). Or have I missed it twice somehow?

This seems strange as it has become somewhat of a 'catchphrase' for the film.

Anybody shed any info on it?

No he didnt I watched it a couple of nights ago and was waiting for the line...then it went off. The line never came.

I to have noticed this great line missing from the film(reg` 1) it is standard Hollywood practise to get the trailer out to the masses and then get the film finished,but the director may well trim bits out and sometimes these are the bits that you see in the trailer,this happened when "From dusk till dawn" came out,can`t remember the exact bit but do remember the Robert Rodriguez commentary confirming this practise,I presume this is what happened on `Planet`

This is weird.I got my R1 version back in November and i was familiar with this line from watching the trailers on tv,but after watching the dvd i realised that i had not heard it.The power of advertising had implanted this line in my head and in a rather sad way i was looking forward to seeing it in the film but i did not.I was puzzled by this and thought that maybe i had missed it,but the fact that this thread exists would prove that i didnt.

The thing is nobody else but the ape who said it knew he was a space man - so why would he say it? -- maybe that's why they cut it out?

Or maybe the whole thing is just a loada monkeyspank?!

The same can be said for Hanibal

In the trailer there is a kinda flash back clip of Clarise back at the asylum and seeing the ghostly image of Hanibal as he was in Silent of the Lambs... but it wasnt in the cinema release..... I think it was included on the dvd as a deleted scene... must go check

I can confirm that he did NOT say it in the film.

Anyone thinking he did...well..probably just assumed he said it due to the advert, like Lex said
