Hm, what should I say not to spoil the hype (or advertising campaign)? A great cast, a remake, and ... no "and". That's it.
Can't remember if I have actually seen the original but I think this one fits nicely into the 'just another remake' bracket.

When do those people in Hollywood learn that you cannot just make a good movie with either lot's of SFX or a good cast if the story isn't good and that most remakes fail bitterly!? Well, actually the story isn't that bad but I found the movie rather boring, couldn't be helped by any of the lead actors (as far as I am able to judge that) and there were quite many flaws in it, too.

agreed......it was a fun film but i was not that peeved to have watched it on valentines and hecne miss half of it.
