Bill Gates on Frasier

Finally saw the Frasier episode with Bill Gates on it last night. After all the hype, he was only on for about a minute! I've got to admit, much to my surprise, the guy was genuinely funny on it.

PS Microsoft still suck though!

Funny yes, but transparent as nothing more than a PR stunt. I wonder how many meetings it took to decide to play along as a geeky trekker... I thought it was going to turn into a half hour advert for Windows at one point.

Agreed, although I seem to remember that at the time it was orignally screened in the States the suspicion was that it was PR stunt to support the US XBox launch. As you say though, it was Windows that got all the plugs on the show.

When he was on with Jeremy Paxman he came across as having a dire lack of humour, especially with regard to himself. All the guy has to do is start talking and that voice tells you all your concerns are true. Devious nerd.
