Anyone remember the bbc series the Machine Gunners. Set during WW2. I loved it. Anyone have a copy for sale or know about video/dvd release?

I remember it. I doubt it's the kind of thing that's going to be released any time soon, if ever, though.
In the book it was based on there was part where the German pilot hides out in an allotment shed in the depths of winter sucking on frozen sprouts to survive... as a sprout hating kid I used to picture that as being as close to hell as you could get

I have my doubts that this would've stood the test of time too well

I went to the school where this was shot, I remember it vividly, you either gor the week off school, or you could be in it....but you had to have your head shaved and you got a fiver !

I chose to have the week off !
