Hi,

Well, not a bad episode, but Bravo's presentation was pretty lousy!
- A 1.66:1 widescreen formatted picture, instead of the proper 1.77:1 that the show was filmed in.
- Many dark scenes had digital artifacting in them, which was not down to a bad digital signal, but due to either compression in the signal, or bad transmission from Bravo's end!
- That damn "New Episode" logo, which accomapnied the "Bravo" DOG, seems to be really bright and white, and made to be as annoying as possible.

I'll watch the rest of the series, but will wait to hopefully buy the series on DVD instead. Also, I've heard that the DVD versions of some of the episodes will be several minutes longer each, including material deemed too explicit for cable TV transmission and/or extended and newly-restored footage, cut for pacing reasons.

yes, after watching last nights, i can definelty see the potential, only held back by Bravo's poor presentation. The thing that bugged me most was the bright and over large logos. Think i;ll be watching the rest on DVD when i can get hold of it.

Hi,

Yes, those logos are so annoying and distracting and so many channels now feature this "new episode" one too.

I enjoyed the first programme, not what I expected at all. I like the way the girl, initially the victim, became a master of horror herself, an unusual twist in the tale. I watched it on my own but it didn't scare me as much as some of the more subtle horror series I've seen.

The only annoying thing, well there was a few. Apart from no originality. The way the girl kept laying traps for the killer, she spent what seemed like ages!, and only when she finished them, he turned up!.
But when the wrong girl got poked, i mean speared in the trap, that was different.

Look forward to next show; Dance of the Dead
Tobe Hooper, who helped to define 20th century American horror with 'Poltergeist' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', adapts a story by Richard Matheson, one of the most acclaimed writers in the genre. After a nuclear holocaust has claimed the lives of most of the population, the dead are re-animated for the entertainment of the few who survive.

Anyone see fridays 'Jennifier', how deranged was she. Directed my Dario Argento.
This lead female was creepy. Face that can only be described as if someone had put it through Kai's Goo software!. But a great body. It was quite distrubing watching this female cannibal sex machine go to work. Apart from that enjoyable.

Heard last week that Showtime has pulled the 13th episode "Reprint" by Takashi Miike due to content therefore only making it available on the DVD release. It will be interesting to see if Bravo screen it but as of yet no reply to that question when posed on the Bravo forum.

Have to say i thought this weeks episode 'Jennifer' was pretty pathetic. If the writer could have been bothered, it might have been somewhat more interesting, to find out the origins of the wimpering she-beast.

Just noticed on the Bravo website that they are planning to show the uncut version of Takashi Miike's Imprint - http://www.bravo.co.uk/mastersofhorror/index.html

Excellent, I've lost a bit of interest in the series as a whole but you've gotta watch the final story if even Showtime didn't think it was suitable
