Exclamation Surface on ITV2 Tonight!

Hi,

I know I've briefly mentioned this is my usual TV Update page, but just to remind you all: Surface starts on ITV2 tonight, at 9pm, but then starts on ITV1 next Saturday afternoon as well, but at the dumb, dumb, dumb time of 4:10pm! Yep, Saturday teatimes!

No news on whether any cuts will need to be made to the ITV1 transmissions.

No weekly repeats on either channel, I'm afraid.

I keep watching it but I am not sure why, perhaps I live in the hope it will get better and the blatent Lake Bell bikini and later oiling up was as bad as the Enterprise decon scene nod towards the male audience

I have to say that was a hell of a lot more enjoyable than Invasion - the "aliens" were much more tangible and menacing that the human replacements in Invasion (which were just annoying).

Much more of a creature feature.

It clashed with Life on Mars and Smallville last night (so many things to watch, so litttle time ), so I'll try and remember the ITV1 showing on Sunday.

You were right about scheduling nightmares Pooch - even with SKY+ dual record I'm struggling, and thats before 24 and Rescue Me return !

Ian.

The ITV1 airing of "Surface" is on SATURDAY afternoon, at 4:10pm, not Sunday like you stated above!

anyone know which episode is showing tonight on ITV2?

Is it the same one as ITV2 broadcast on Saturday afternoon (after the pilot on ITV1), or a new episode?

Should be the same as Saturdays episode (at least according to the digiguide)
Looks like the new episode is Saturday afternoon with the repeat on Monday

indeed it was, thankfully (Monday nights at 9pm are getting too busy!), contrary to the announcer woman after Saturday's ITV2 episode, who said:

"...and you can catch the next episode on Monday night on ITV2"

Liar!

Anybody (Pooch ?) know what ITV1 have done with this in their schedules ?

I was watching recording the Saturday afternoon episode, but it doesn't appear to be on this Saturday........

The Monday night episode on ITV2 clashes with various other things.

Maybe its a sign that I should stop watching it

Ian.

Yep, seems to have vanished from the ITV1 schedules, but's still on ITV2 on Saturday afternoons (which in theory should be then repeated on Monday nights on ITV2)

Hi,

DOn't know why "Surface" has disappeared from ITV1's Saturday afternoon slot, but I hope it's going to be back in about 2 weeks, although this will mean ITV2 fans will be 2 episodes ahead!

To be honest, it isn't suitable for a Saturday afternoon on ITV1. There's some rather mature content, in terms of humour, and violent/gore content, that I don't believe is suitable for such an early timeslot. Did you see Episode 2? The scientist guy who had half of his face melted off was rather yucky (for younger viewers), wasn't it?!

I'm actually enjoying this more than Invasion at the moment, but it does get confusing with two similar series about aquatic aliens running concurrently!

Some of the CGI is shockingly bad though (the geyser last night!)

The US seems to be undergoing some kind of "they're out there and out to get us" sci-fi last seen in the 50's when the US govt/public were similarly paranoid about "alien" threats to their way of living.
