Invasion on C4

Just watched the first 2 episodes of 'Invasion' on C4 tonight and wondered what other people thought of it? I think that potentially this could be very good but have a feeling it will be full to the brim of conspiracy cover ups and will probably have long dragged out and frustrating episodes, I hope I am wrong.

I recorded the third one which was on E4 which I will watch tomorrow, fingers crossed it will keep me hooked.

Just watching the first two episodes now (recorded them on PVR to FF adverts) not sure what to think so far - could turn out to be good or could go downhill. Didn't realise the 3rd episode was on E4. Is it on every Sunday night ch4? Just the 1 episode a week i assume?

Much better than Lost, but only because there is no 118 sponsorship!, no stupid show sponsorship of any kind infact.

It's too early to judge it's quality yet, i'm really not sure what to make of it.

Yes it will be on C4 Sunday nights and I pressume E4 will be showing the following episode afterwards the same as Lost.

Cool

I though the story was drawn out. Compare it with the first 2 epidodes of The Invaders.

thought id give it a go. also nothing much on a sunday. it seemed to go by quite quickly, although that may have been because i taped it and skipped the adverts. thats what i like about dl episodes, no adverts, they are a pain.

not too sure how good it is though, will have to see a few more first, i must admit it took me a few to get into lost. the only problem seems to be they are laying it out quite clearly, unless im just going for the obvious.

Watched the first three episodes last night has a lot of potential none of the leads are annoying its pretty well acted. So as mark says as long as there not to many long drawn out episodes could be good. Dont see how it can run for a long period say more than 12 episodes without it becoming dull or there being significant plot changes to give it more depth.

Anyone have any ideas how this could develop into a multi series show?

I have been watching Invasion since it was launched in the US and I can confirm that it is a very good series. Nice to see it showing in the UK.

I watched this and noticed that its seems to be showing at 8 oclock on Sundays from now on. Given some of the content from the first three shows, will there be cuts in the 8pm showings?

Happy New Year to you to mate.

I have seen the first 10 episodes, the story line develops very well. Invasion spends time developing the characters and plot. A well produced show.

Invasion is placed 4th in my favourite show list.

1: 24
2: Prison Break
3. Lost
4. Invasion

Hi,

So far, only 13 episodes have been made, to make up the entirety of Seaosn 1. No news on recommission just yet.

So far, having only seen the first episode, not that impressed with it. Rather slow, and ambling, and doesn't go anywhere, and none of the characters appeal to me at all. However, I shall reserve judgement until I've watched episode 2.

Episodes 1 and 2 are repeated on Saturday night, between 7:10-9:00pm on Channel 4. There may be cuts to remove some of the scenes of the dessicated corpse, in the back of the car, but other than that, it should remain intact.

it didn't get any better, if anything, more boring. there is no mystery or suspense about the show, if something major is going to happen, they've already blown it. you already know the premise of the show, invasion of the bodysnatchers. its not like lost where you wonder how/when they get off the island and whatever else is going to happen. with a gripping intro, and each following episode becoming more enticing to watch more. i can only imagine it gets even more boring as it goes on. there is absolutely nothing about the characters thats likeable, not even any good looking girls to keep interest in that way. even if you don't like lost you've got michelle rodriguez to drool over in series 2

Yes the begining is slow but it builds an atmosphere for the rest of the show. Stick with it as I havent heard anyone bad mouth this show at all.

I rather liked it and thought that it held promise but why do American shows have to give people such daft names nowadays. The sheriff was Tom Underlay whilst the female interest was provided in the shape of a character called Larkin Groves.

I notice that later in the week we have another new series starting entitled "Bones" which features a female lead called Temperance Brennan

But Bones is actually based on the series of books by Kathy Reichs so they really had to keep the name

I have seen 13 @ http://www.tv.com/, but I hope it is wrong and there are 22 episodes planned.

Maybe 13 were orignally scheduled as it was a new show but have extended to 22 as it has turned out to be quiet a popular show.
