Thumbs up Smallville Season 5 - E4

Smallville Season 5 starts on Monday 9th January on E4.
I am looking forward to this one after the Fortress of Solitude Episode of last season. Of course in Superman the Movie Clark turned into Superman in the Fortress of Solitude and flew away. Wonder if the same will happen on Episode 1. Bet it will be more like episode 24.

I am sure I read somewhere that when Clark does start to fly , it would be the last Smallville ep ever .

However , I'm hardly the most ardent fan , i enjoy it and watch it when I remember. But Ive had Sky+ for 3 years and have never set it to record

Season 3. C4 Probably couldn't find any room between the endless Friends repeats on the usual T4 Sunday slot for Season 4.

Looking forward to this too. Season 4 ended on a high after a disappointing 'Lana possessed by 16th Century Witch storyline'.

Damn right! God that was tedious!! I am waiting for them to kill off Lana, as pretty as she is she is really a bit pointless now.

Heh. It's funny as I've seen up to Ep 9 already. It's a good enough season so far. Some iffy episodes in between, but is better than Season 4 so far, though not quite as good as 2 or 3.

The 100th episode is called 'Reckoning'.

there are some pics over on www.devotedtokristinkreuk.com under 'More Reckoning Stills' half way down the page, they look fantastic.

Well if it ***SPOILER***wasn't for Chloe half freezing to death in the fortress then we probably would have seen Clark fly . So that makes two people of to the Gallows.

All in all I thought it was ok and am looking forward to the next one. It's just a shame they only put one a week on.

It's really taken on the spirit of the Donner films. I wonder if it will continue or just return during sweeps moments.

How Brainiac is handled will be interesting.

I loved it The Fortress of Solitude rising up was really well done as was the scene with Clark and Chloe in the hospital.

It was a nice touch to have the Disciples of Zod banished to the Phantom Zone too (with the same special effect used in the movies).

Actually I think the special affects were done better in the movies

Spoiler:
As soon as they activated that device and it turned into hula hoop rings I thought there sending him to the phantom zone.

Excellent episode I thought. Certainly better than any of last seasons already. The new credits seemed pretty cool too.

The special effects looked a bit crappy though. Especially on the fortress section.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.

-> I thought it was Lionel as it was him that sorted them out, wasn't it?

Thoroughly enjoyed the first episode - loved the continuity with the films. We need more Lois and less Lana

I think if Lanas character was 'killed' off then I might actually pay more attention to the series

Spoiler question :BTW who was that guy at the end???.
