I see Play have American Gothic earmarked for a R2 release on Febuary 20th...does anyone know whether the episode running order cock-up on the R1 set will be corrected on this release so that the episodes run in the correct order?

Hopefully, it should be, but it does depend on who has got the UK rights to release the set, and whether they do a straight duplication of the Region 1 release, or not.

Bear in mind, the USA never saw the episodes in the right order, hence the discrepancy on their DVD release. It wasn't until subsequent screenings, that they saw all the episodes, and aired them in the correct order that we saw them in, on Channel 4, way back in the mid-1990's.
