Willo The Wisp R2 (Remastered)

Willo The Wisp

Yes, at last a masterpice gets the treatment it deserves. Not so sure about the new series but, hey why worry, now you can get your mitts on this classic Kenneth Williams!

Man those were big viewing figures! Oh the halcyon days of my youth.

I remember watching this show many years ago.

But hearing that it is on its way just makes me think that they'll release any old rubbish on DVD.

OK you might say that it was an entertaining childrens programme, but does this mean that EVERY old programme is going to be released.

I think the marketing men are working wonders here. People are being fooled into thinking they have to own 'The Dukes of Hazzard','The A-Team','Willo the Wisp','Captain Pugwash' etc etc just because they enjoyed them when they were young.

I was an avid viewer of Starsky & Hutch, The A-Team, Miami Vice et al when growing up. But I have seen some of them recently and they are poor!!! Would never even consider spending £5 to own them let alone £15-£25 each.

Plus the fact that they will always be getting repeated on TV somewhere.

Just because its nostalgic doesn't make it good.
