Post Just seen @ the cinema: KOD

Kiss of the Dragon - starring Jet Li and Bridget Fonda, sounds a kind of promising but turns out to be total trash.<br />Nothing wrong with Jet Li's martial arts skills but the movie totally fails to entertain, nothing we haven't seen before and the story is a total disaster. Though I would not expect it to be believable - but cops shooting innocent bystanders and getting away with it!? - it leaves a lot of open questions and serves every clichee there is.

The attempt to imitate Jackie Chan's style fails due to the rather average fighting scenes and, while occassionally overly violent, it also tries to be funny sometimes; which however does not work for this movie.

So what's the verdict then? Not much, and that only due to Jet Li's skills:

** out of 5

Better get "Romeo will die" (just kidding: "Romeo must die") instead.
