Exclamation TV Schedule Changes!!!

Afternoon People,

Due to Thursday's tragic events in London, there have been several TV schedule changes. As a courtesy, I thought I would post those that had already been announced. It goes without saying, that schedules may still change at any time, so please check your Sky, Freeview or Cable EPG (Electronic Programming Guide) or teletext service for the most up-to-date information.

Friday 8th July
BBC1
No changes to report. However: the BBC is still unsure if tonight's episodes of "24" will air, because of the fact the show deals with terrorism. Details will be confirmed later on today.

ITV1
8pm - Tonight With Trever McDonald (Cancelled, and replaced with ITV News Special)
Midnight - FILM: The X-Files (Cancelled, as film deals with a bombing at the headquarters of the FBI. Replaced with the action-comedy movie "Stakeout" from 1987 instead.)

Five
9pm - CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Episode advertised Season 4, Episode 5 "Fur And Loathing" has been substituted for a Season 3 (?) episode where Nick has a relationship with a prostitute, who suddenly ends up dead, and his official duties as a CSI are called into question.)

Saturday 9th
ITV1
10:15pm - FILM: The Siege (Cancelled, as film deals with bomb attacks in New York and theme of terrorism in general. Replaced with the 2000 remake of "Gone In 60 Seconds" starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie.)

Sunday 10th
BBC2
10pm - Mock The Week (Due to the nature of this topical comedy show, tonight's episode may be cancelled or postponed. The BBC has not officially confirmed anything yet, but the late-night repeat of last Sunday's episode was pulled on Thursday night!)

Also, my usual weekly update is going to be delayed this week. It will now be posted on Monday, at the earliest. My apologies about this.

is it me or whenever terrorist attacks happen broadcasters tend to have films with terrorist activities in them , which in turn are obviously cancelled. Is this a coincidence? I recall after the twin towers 9/11 attack die hard 2 & the peacemaker being re-scheduled at the time.

*rolls eyes*

What a PC nation we live in. No offense meant to anybody affected by the London tragedy, but changing what's on TV is akin to bolting the door after the horse has left.

Are the 3 flavours of CSI winding up now? i'm finding the schedualling has gone a bit weird recently.

Also can someone answer if Alias has finished. I never watch it live, but my tapings give Poker Extreme or some guff now. This is Alias on free TV, think it was Tuesday nights?

Just trying to be helpful to chrislad.

So any word on CSI and Alias? It wouldnt be so bad if the EPG worked better, but you still end up with incorrect recordings and skewed times - 21st century people! Surely its not that hard to design a decent record/schedule function?
