Question X-Files Free Limited Edition Storage Box

I have recently finished collecting all the x-files season box sets 1-9 and in each box you get a stamp. Once you have all 9 stamps you attached it to a sheet and send it off to claim a free limited edition storage box to put all your dvd box sets in.

I have recently received my box but it can only fit 8 of the seasons in it and was wondering if this was a mistake or this is just how they made them???

cheers

I am told the trick is to remove the inner amarary cases from the slipcases, you cannot fit all 9 in the set keeping them on.

Also, the vouchers only came with the re-released sets in the amaray cases and as it was limited there is a good chance they are now all gone.

I too have all 9 series on box set. But some of mine are region 1 and the rest region 2. I remember paying around the £100 mark for these box sets (worth every penny).

I didnt know you could claim a complimentry box.

If only they did one last series and round it off to an even 10 series.

You could only claim the Limited Edition Box if you had collected the vouchers from the re-released boxsets.

Yeah you can only get in with the Re-package m-lock dvds. And i think it is only avaliable for region 2.

Its just a pain really i've got all the boxsets all nice and neat in this box on my shelf and season 9 set just floating around next to it!

Did you try what I suggested and remove the M-Lock cases from the slipcases as that is what I read you had to do on another forum.

That really facked me off, the releases getting the box thing - those of us with the digipak sets didn't get the offer even ater paying through the nose for the first few seasons.

the region 2 season 1 set is well nasty - it was thin and poorly made - i think the dead sea scrolls are in better nick.

you could always get someone handy at carpentry to make a nice custom sized wooden display box/case for them. Thats what i thought about doing with my digipak versions. Though they're perfectly out of harms way on a shelf, it would make a fitting display piece for such an investment.
