Star in a reasonably priced car

Well not unexpected, a certain D Hill did very well.

It was great to see an ex F1 driver on Top Gear!

Question is... was he taking it easy, or is Jimmy Carr a driving God?

8pm - 9pm on Sundays with repeats on Tuesdays, this week it's at 23:20 I think. For my sins I have ntl digital and they save a copy for free video on demand streaming during the week.

That and I have it saved to my own HDD

I wonder if The Stig could beat him - or are they one and the same person?

I'm fairly sure that they're the same person - it ticks all of the right boxes.

Well,he denied it last night.Perhaps I'm assuming too much, but surely he's worth a bob or two?Why would he want a job on top gear?If he was the Stig then he must have driven that and other cars around that track hundreds of times so why take different lines through the corners and risk being slower?

Wouldnt you want to drive some of the fastest cars around a circuit for a day or two a week for some fun. I know i would,
The different line maybe something to do with the suspension and roll, i reckon (being the Stig or at least having been the stig) he knows if he went into the corner at a different angle the car would come out the corner in a better shape for the next corner. Wonder how many pratice laps he got?

Strange to relate, Mr Hill has never been a brilliant tin top driver- a brief foray into the BTCC in about 1990 was singly unsuccessful. I would be really interested to watch one of the really hot Touring Car drivers in the Liana as then I think we'd see the limit of what's possible. A friend of mine who is a keen track day chap, is convinced there are many Stig's as there have been quite a few different driving styles on display in recent memory.

Personally, after watching TG last night, i was more shocked by how soundly both the E type and the DB5 were beaten from a standing start by a Honda Accord 2.4.............

It would be great to see what Matt Neal could do in the Liana. He's been a nutter from the start and from the look of it is doing rather well because of it

He's been on a few TG things though, shouldn't be that hard.
