Cool Stock Foreigner Actors

I was watching UFO last night and as you all know Ed Bishop the star of the show was born in the USA but appered in many UK productions as an American and I also spotted Shane Rimmer in a minor role an other stock actor fo UK productions.
Any one remember Bruce Boa the big guy best known for his role in the episode with the Waldoef Salad in Fawlty Towers.

An other was David Healy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0372311/
Alan Gifford http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0317506/
Lionel Murton was a stock USA part actor although born in the UK yet was Canadien see here http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0615463/

All played americans in the Bond films if I remember rightly.

One known for his Spanish parts was Ricardo Montez http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0599695/ best known as Juan Cervantes in Mind Your Language the tall one with curly hair.

There was one I cannot put a name to who played a lot of Mexicans etc who I'm sure was in Carry on Cowboy but cannot put a name to.

Anybody remeber any more?

Cool

An other was Walter Gotell who got his boats burned in From Russia With Love, then turned up later as General Anatol Gogol in a number of other Bond films.

Oskar Homolka.
Played Russians and Germans I think.
He was in a couple of the Harry Palmer films.
I thought he was in Where Eagles Dare (a small scene on the telephone - can't say more or it'll be a spoiler), but I can't find a credit on imdb. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Cool

Jeanne Roland always use to play oriental types although I知 sure she wasn稚 pic here of her as a masseur in You Only Live Twice.

George Pravda nearly always seemed to play someone form the eastern block although may be best remeberd for being a time lord pic here the one on the right

He was also in Thunderball who I think was the guy Bond let off at the end because although had been working for SPECTRE helped the good guys out.

If British films featured someone in a fez it always seemed to be Herbert Lom.

Sugar again thought of him whilst looking for the pic of George Pravda and getting the link to work. Dam my short term memory.

He could also play a charmer as in the TV Series the Human Jungle.

And I think he played an italian in the film Hell Drivers, not forgeting a frenchman in the Pink Panther films and the Mad Moor in El Cid.

How could I have not thought of him in the first post Manchester born Burt Kwouk.

Not sure but I think it was Ivor Dean on the telephone in Where Eagles Dare.

He'd been featured quite a lot on TV as a Police Inspector, I believe in The Saint.

I remember watching Where Eagles Dare at the cinema and the whole audience roared when he came on for just a few seconds.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the excellent James Hong.

Any oriental part (goodie or mainly baddie), then he's your man.

He seem's to have been around for ever!

I was quite pleased to have the "Where Eagles Dare" conundrum solved. However, Ivor Dean doesn't look like the character I remember. I eventually tracked down a description of the scene that I had in mind (but couldn't describe). The character is Major Wilhelm Wilner and the actor is Guy Deghy.

Details here (spoiler)

Fruitbat,

Come to think about it, there were indeed two scenes in Where Eagles Dare with somebody on the telephone, so sorry for the confusion.

Now to get back on topic:

There was an actor called Pedro Gonzales Gonzales who always seemed to play a Mexican bandit in westerns.

Can't think why!
