Thumbs up CSI and CSI: NY starting on Five!

Hi All,

Exceptionally good news for CSI fans!

Five will be airing Season 1 of "CSI: New York" from February 2005, alongside Season 5 of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". More than likely, they will double-bill both shows together, on a Tuesday evening, with "CSI" starting at 9pm, followed straight on at 9:55/10pm with "CSI: New York"!

Nice one, Five! Excellent timing!

Hi,

Fordy - "CSI: Miami - Season 3" will be shown on Five, later in the year. I expect it'll start around June/July time, along with "The Shield: Season 4".

Decadence - The cast-list for "CSI: New York" is as follows:-
Gary Sinise as Det. Mac Taylor
Melina Kanakaredes as Det. Stella Bonasera
Carmine Giovinazzo as Danny Messer
Hill Harper as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes
Eddie Cahill as Det. Don Flack
Vanessa Ferlito as Aiden Burn

Can I recommend, that you all check out the STICKY thread at the top of the "Movies & TV" thread forum, called "And More New TV Viewing For Jan 2005", as I think you'll find it helpful! This thread, will be updated every month, so that you will always know (courtesy of me!), what's coming-up to watch, a month in advance, e.g the afore-mentioned thread was written in December. Later this month, I'l do the Feb 2005 one, etc, etc.

Hi,

Smelly - On the whole, "CSI New York" has done fairly well, though it has divided the audiences: some say it's too dark (ala "Se7en") in the photography, hence too depressing for them to watch, whilst others say as the second spin-off show, it's good, but not great (compared to its two older siblings)!

Fordy - Check that you have the correct e-mail address in your AV Forums Profile, otherwise all e-mail notificationss are being sent to the wrong address. Failing that, check to see if you have any Spam filtering software running on your PC or via your ISP, that is filtering out the AV Notifications, and thinks that they are junk, when they aren't. If neither of those solve the problem, contact Spectre (aka Stuart Wright), and see if he can help.

Thanks Pooch

Must admit that in the brief glimpse we had last year (one of CSI Miami's episodes was set in NY wasn't it??) it did look a darker show than the others. But then they are set in Las Vegas and Miami and not NY! Expecting it to be as good as the others although I'm not sure whether they should do any more spin offs.

On the subject of CSI Miami I happened to catch a glimpse of Michael Hayes the other day and David Caruso is really typecast isn't he Don't get me wrong I like him in CSI Miami but its a role made for him; can't see him winning any oscars on the big screen!!
