Reality TV!!

Are you getting p!ssed off with all the reality tv stuff on the tele these days?? I know that I am!!

Everytime you put the tele on these days its either- Pop Idol, Celebrity Fat Club, Wife Swap and so on and so on- and now we have another splendid edition of Celebrity (or so they are trying to call them!!) Big Brother!!!

I wouldnt mind if it was one every now and then- but it is constant. TV these days is bad enough with normal programmes but these take things to an all time low!!

I find myself (if not watching DVD's of course!!) tuning into UK Gold so as I can watch good old fashioned programmes like- Only Fools and Horses, Porridge, One Foot in the Grave, Parkinson etc.

Also- where is the value in Sky TV these days also? Most channels are the same but +1 hour. Sky movies is a joke- repeat, repeat, repeat- the same movies on almost everyday! (which I know sounds funny considering that I watch UK Gold).

The only decent thing is the live football- even then you have to pay for some of the games.

Apologies for the rant- I could go on for days moaning about this but I will stop here and leave the rest to you folk!!

Agree totally, I hate all this "morons doing stupid things" type television we are forced fed now. Someone once called Big Brother "people with nothing to do watching people doing nothing"

Big Brother was ok for the first series when it was different and new, now its just boring and the same old stuff - celebs or not. Wife Swap is the only one I can watch - quite funny as they always pick extremes and its not as if you're watching the same people week in week out. Can't stand Get me Out of Here thing, The Farm blah blah.

But sorry I do like Sky. Would love to pay less and agree there an awful lot of on there, but there's also a lot of good series. And football

Would also agree, dont have Sky so cannot comment on the +1 hour thing but i am thinking about it just for Discovery and History channels, shae these are not on freeview.
.
Used to like Wife Swap but now they have gone too far to the extremes and it is predictable (sort of). Never liked big bro or the pop things or any other reality tv for that matter.

Cool

Remember when you use to laugh as such idiotic programs on Clive James program.

It is cheap TV, it involves practically no production cost and appeals to the addled brained, which there seem to be a lot in this country. Then they wonder why the ratings are going down.

In general, I agree totally with you, even though I am "forced" to watch them all by the missus However...... I think the Celeb Big Brother that's on at the minute is absolutely superb. It has a couple of celebs who are certifiable, a couple of C listers trying to get work or sell songs, plus and here are the best bits, Bez a childhood hero ( who I just found out 4 times a day ) and the beauty that is Caprice, who wears tiny bikinis in the shower. All in all, a televisual feast
