How do you know there's no more arya arc left?

Just because the poster said he is looking forward to those two in particular, does not mean there is not an Arya story arc after Season 2.

i took that to mean that he was gutted to see no more Arya/Tywin scenes, which were great!!!

I was actually convinced Tywin had clicked who she was but clearly not...

I meant its a bummer because there will be no more Arya\Tywin scenes as they have gone their separate ways now. I did not say there is no more arc for her, I've read the books, her best parts are still to come.

Apparently George RR Martin has finished his script for Ep 7 of Season 3 titled "Autumn Storms". Personally i was hoping more for him writing Ep 8 or 9 and the title to be "The Rains of Castamere" But we will see how it goes.

I am amazed at how quickly one of the best things on TV has turned to crap.........

I loved the first season but am genuinely bored to death with this season. I keep waiting for something to happen and am constantly feeling let down.

The story is far to slow, there are too many characters that havent been properly introduced/explained and I am finding myself not caring about many of the characters and story lines that I loved last season.

I am not the sort of person that needs constant thrills and spills etc but having something/anything happening helps!

REAL shame!

I think this weeks episode is meant to make up for the lack of action, some battle thing. Someone posted a poster for it earlier in this thread

Danaerys' story is now me, just 2 or 3 mins a week of sweet FA, and she's not even naked

It isnt just 'action' the show is missing, its missing nearly everything that made the last season so great!

Yeah, there was no filler first season. For me, there's been 2 filler episodes so far this time round.

Well I'm thoroughly enjoying this season. Yes, Daenerys's story isn't much cop but it isn't in the book either. Every scene with Tyrion, Arya or Tywin is pure class, and Theon's storyline is well handled too.

I suppose it might help that I'm familiar with the source material, and the book is structured that it's a long build-up to ... well, the next episode!

Agreed. I would go so far as saying that the Theon story is better than the book at the moment.
Remember most of these characters arcs are not yet complete. So what may seem like filler is actually building the character. Trust me when I say there will be a payoff for all of this exposition.

I'm fairly certain it will ramp up again for the final episodes.

That's like how I felt reading the books A Feast for Crows, except for the 'too many characters'.
Yes I have to agree, this second season of Game of Thrones, which is based on a good book, lacks something. I can understand people not caring for characters. The next episode should help with the action bit anyway.

But the whole thing about the books is they are 'not' really about action. They are about the politics and relationships between the characters. I've thoroughly enjoyed season 2. If I want sword fights etc I can go watch any number of movies, it's the political intrigue and twists that I enjoy.

I know I have read all the books, but A Feast For Crows, for various reasons, was a bit of a slog to get through. This season of Game of Thrones seems a bit choppy compared to the immensity of the book, the characters come across as lacking focus or something. It's not just about the lack of action, it's a general feeling that a lot is missing from the books or not as I imagined it..or something. Hard to put my finger on it.

Episode 9: Blackwater - 8.8/10

At times it was hard to see what was going on, ie who was fighting who, though pretty normal for most battle scenes. I enjoyed it, but for me not the better ones. And finally an episode that only had one plot, the battle.

A surprise ending

as Tywin Lannister saved the
castle, when

we were exepecting him to be elsewhere going after Robb
Stark.

The latest episode was more engaging (not just because of the action!). I just fear that it is too little too late!

cracker of an episode, must admit, was hoping we'd see the

hound and bronn
have a go at each other....

And the

wildfire explosion
worked my SVS quite nicely as well....

I wonder if Tywin even knows that Arya isn't in King's Landing? Cersei and Tyrion have done everything they can to stop word from getting out of King's Landing in order to prevent the Starks finding out she is gone. Surely it's possible that the news also evaded Tywin? Would be a nice little nugget if, upon discovering that Arya is now gone, he realises that the serving girl was probably her.
