Possibly not Myranda Royce, as she appears in Book 4. Although the character she plays is called Myranda there is speculation that she is actually Meera Reed.

I just re-watched season 1, after watching season 2 and thinking “who are all these new characters?” and enjoyed it a lot more second time round.
It really helped me to understand what was going on in Season 2 as the gap between season 1 and 2 was almost a year and I had forgotten what had happened.
I do wish they would do a recap before each episode and show things in the recap that were pertinent to the proceeding episode

Could be, although the timing of characters entering the story are all up in the air now, hence why the Reeds weren't in Season 2 (but originally appeared in book 2)

Honestly I almost gave up on watching season 2. I really enjoyed the first season of Game of Thrones, but I fought through season 2 and it went on fast pace out of nowhere. Does anyone know where they film Game of Thrones? The scenary is amazing especially on HD. I watched the first season all over again on my LG TV and it was amazing. You should try it as well on HD, blows your mind. LG did a great job with quality image. Is it just me or should they make film Game of Thrones with the option of 3D?

Northern Ireland, Malta, Croatia, Iceland I think.

Regarding season 2, I'm half in agreement with you as the book is still a vivid memory in my mind and they changed a lot more of the second book than the first, but I still think it's an excellent adaptation.

A bit late to the party, half way through the first series which I've recently bought on blu-ray. But WOW, what a great programme, possibly the best drama I've seen on TV. Ever.

Decided to buy the book which I read through while away on holiday last week, couldn't put it down. Very much helps with understanding the plot & getting to grip with the characters, so I'd recommend this to anyone new to the stories.

Think I'll order the newly released box-set of the books from amazon.....should keep me in bed-time reading for the next few years!

Dame Diana Rigg, 74, (Emma Peel in cult 60s' series The Avengers) has been cast as Olenna Redwyne, the so-called Queen of Thorns.

Mackenzie Crook (The Office, Pirates Of The Caribbean) has the role of Orell.

Paul Kaye (Dennis Pennis, Malice in Wonderland) is Thoros Of Myr.

Tara Fitzgerald (Waking The Dead, The Body Farm) is Selyse Baratheon.

Probably early next year if they follow the same schedule.

I was really hoping for his Misfits cast mate Robert Sheehan in that part. But i think Iwan may be a good second.
