The Ren & Stimpy Show Season 1 & 2 Uncut?

DVDSoon have the release date for this as 12th October and as that is only just over a week away I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that already has stock of this title?

A lot of those episodes are ones that were planned but never finished.

Also please note that this DVD set is NOT uncut, there's a thread at The DVD Forums about this,

Because Paramount are boneheads

Luckily only a few of the episodes seem to be affected, but what seems to have happened is that SpikeTV who aired the show in the US created remastered versions of a few of the slightly more beat-up episodes. Since that particular channel is obsessed with showing as many commercials as possible (American TV, after all), they cut the episodes for time, and inserted fades to black for commercial breaks to go in.

These cuts and fades are present on this "Uncut" "Definitive" DVD set because TV masters have been used to create it.

From my understanding, the sets have the cuts that Nickelodeon made years ago restored, but now have time cuts of their own.

Damox, can you check the episode "Haunted House" and tell me if it has the 3-minute or so long Bloody Head sequence?

I emailed DVDSoon about my order and got this email today...
Quote:
Dear Sir;

Please remember that pre-ordering products does not guaranty that you will receive your item before the release date. It is to the discretion of the manufacturer when to start sending these items to us. The can send them anywhere from 3 weeks before the release date up to 3 weeks after the release date. Unfortunately we have not yet received this product and have confirmation that is has not yet started shipping. I apologize for the inconvenience.
So according to them they dont even have stock yet, something strange going on here.
