Double episode on Sunday at 9. Showing 1/6 on my Sky planner, so they'll maybe run a double episode for the next three Sundays.

Great news! I'll be watching that as I missed the first series. I was planning on catching up with it at some point.

I enjoyed the first series, but absolutely loved this one. Brilliant stuff. Reminded me of 24 with the believable tension. In a lot of programmes there's no tension as you know the good guys are always going to do what they need to do. I love shows where you don't have that and anything can happen. Even in the finale *spoiler*

I wasn't sure Stonebridge was going to defuse the bomb.

I thought it was also a bit like a Call of Duty movie, but in a good way. I have a friend who is ex forces and can't stand these kind of shows and had a fit when I told him about Stonebridge catching that warhead!

I have to say I didn't know Philip Winchester was American, probably the best British accent I've heard. In that video posted earlier he looks like his much younger, skinnier brother!

I'll definitely be getting this on blu ray.

Just finished this as well. A great ending to the a great show. My only complaint...everyone kept their clothes on in the last episode!

I look forward to the next season.

I was surprised Stone didn't have his wicked way with Colonel Grant as he seemed to have it with every other female he encountered!

Good to see that they were advertising for series 3.

About time we had some decent british drama that wasn't reality tv based.

Rhona Mitra (The Gates, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) has been cast as the “beautiful, cunning” female lead for season 2 of Strike Back.

Series 2 or 3? Wasn't the one with Connie from Holby City series 2?

Either way, I can't wait for series 3.

The original US news story stated Season 2, could it be as 'Strikeback Project Dawn' was a British-American production, and they [US] like to think of it as Season 1? and not part of the original british Strike Back series 1.

You may well be right. The first series was Chris Ryan's Strike Back, the second was Strike Back: Project Dawn; so we'll have to wait and see what the next installment is called.

All I know is we are awaiting the third series, season or lot of Strike Back in the UK!

Considering this is a UK based show, its annoying that we are yet again behind the states.

I can understand us being a day behind to allow for time difference and prevent the larger population US downloading it from us, but a month is silly.

Either way, i can't wait for its return.

^^^ to the US viewer it is Season 1
(the original Sky series 1 with Richard Armitage and Andrew Lincoln has nothing to do with Cinemax ... and there's really little connection to Project Dawn apart from Armitage's cameo)

I prefer the US one, purely because of the music. Great theme. There's too much going on in the UK one, it's like a Call of Duty trailer!

I love that song and posted this 2010 performance earlier in the thread ...

The Heavy performing Short Change Hero in Toronto last year ...
(from their 2009 album, The House That Dirt Built)

Meant to mention this last night, but got caught up watching it. Sky 1 are showing the first series of Project Dawn again on Sunday nights at 22:00, obviously leading up to the new series starting.

I haven't seen any Strike Back before, so am two episodes in on series 2, showing on tv at the moment. As the first post in this thread - to my suprise

Porter (Richard Armitage) gets killed pretty quick.
<

I like

Armitage (Spooks)
, so would enjoy the first series.

Im loving the 2nd series so far, dramatic music, tense, action, the whole lobby scene in ep2

with the wmd hanging on a trip wire sequence was great. And the Latif twist was brillant, walking into command centre and pretending to be a Pakistani ss agent
<

Those two early episodes, could of been a great film role for John McClaine outing, trapped

in a Indian hotel with terrorists
. As i have not yet seen the first series, when i do i will view it as a prequel and onto the third, or i might watch series one after the third.

^^^ There is absolutely no other link to the original Sky series ("Chris Ryan's Strike Back") apart from it featuring Porter and that they all work for the fictional Section 20 branch of MI6
- no other characters or story threads return in Project Dawn

Really enjoying Season 2 (ep4), the team have no problem following protocols when they lose one of their own, like when

Helen shot Daniel Connolly (Liam Cunningham) in cold blood in revenge for killing Kate Marshall
in the van bomb.
